What version is released on steam?
Steam elma is based on vanilla elma 1.11a with a few enhancements on top.
What's new in steam elma compared to 1.11a?
- Advanced options (center camera, center minimap, unlimited fps, force images to background)
- Alovolt key
- Steam cloud save
- Steam leaderboards
- Steam workshop support (mods, levelpacks etc.)
- Auto scale to resolution
Can you play eol with steam elma?
Yes, there is an EOL steam workshop item you can install
How does EOL mod steam elma?
When using steam EOL the game will open eolconf.exe first and then eol.exe instead of elma.exe. Think of it more as a replacement rather than an upgrade. Meaning any new features in steam elma compared to 1.11a will not appear in steam EOL.
How do I switch between steam EOL and steam Elma?
To change to steam elma unsubsribe from the steam eol workshop item. To change to steam EOL subscribe to it. Your config will be remembered in steam cloud when you remove steam EOL.
Is times driven in steam EOL saved to steam leaderboards?
No.
Is times driven in steam elma saved to EOL database?
No.
Can I still use my normal EOL?
Yes, normal EOL will still work and you can play together with people playing steam EOL.
Does steam EOL and normal EOL play together?
Yes, they connect to the same server and you can play with people playing either version.
Do I have to buy steam elma to play steam EOL?
Yes.
What's the difference between steam EOL and normal EOL?
Once you are in-game there is no difference, the only difference is how you start the game, through steam or through eol.exe
